Commit the exact current staging digest with its immutable author principal.

Record the current valid staging batch in local history with its immutable author principal, then clear staging after a successful commit. Existing local edit commands may be repeated before this command. Editing and committing work offline; a local commit does not publish anything, and a later push by another principal preserves its author. Run repo:push separately to publish.
New nodes receive their initial hosted sharing on push, not on local commit, including the named Editor/Admin exception for nodes published into your fork under parents in its upstream repository. See Sharing when a node is created for details.
