nodes:render:tree
Lay out the tree around one node for display, starting from its visible ancestor roots and including siblings and other branches. Returns anchor_node_id, root_node_ids, nodes (node_id, title, depth, lane, is_root, outgoing_ids and incoming_ids within the result), lane_count, max_depth and truncated. Entries contain layout and links, not content: use hosted:node:get for content. truncated is true only when --max_nodes leaves out a qualifying node, not when the count equals the limit. CLI projection defaults to full; MCP defaults to topology.

Usage
flywheel nodes:render:tree <FLAGS>Required flags
| Flag | Value | Default | Choices | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
--node_id | string | Node UUID (not a slug) from node_id in hosted:node:list or graph:get. Missing or hidden: 404 where the command loads it. |
Optional flags
| Flag | Value | Default | Choices | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
--projection | string | full | core, topology, full | core: node fields with content and summary, no artifacts. topology: same, content and summary empty (a root may keep its banner artifact). full: core plus artifacts (and executions where returned), where offered. Omitted: command default. Relationship IDs vary by command; tree entries are layout only. |
--max_nodes | integer | 5000 | Most nodes to return, 1-5000, clamped (omitted: 5000). truncated is true only when a node that qualified was left out, not when the count equals the limit. | |
--format | FORMAT | json, tsv, csv, table | Output format for command results. | |
--env | PROFILE | Select a CLI profile; unconfigured default requires FLYWHEEL_BASE_URL. | ||
--out | PATH | Write output to a file path, or use - for stdout. | ||
--open | Open browser-bound URLs when supported. | |||
--no-retry | Disable transient-error retries. | |||
--retry-max | N | Maximum transient-error retry attempts. | ||
--wait | Block on async operations until a terminal state is reached. | |||
--wait-timeout | SECONDS | 600 | Seconds to wait for --wait before timing out. Defaults to 600. | |
--allow-self | Allow mutating the currently active credential. | |||
--timeout | SECONDS | Set the per-request timeout budget in seconds. | ||
--idempotency-key | KEY | Reuse an Idempotency-Key so ambiguous write failures can be retried with the same key. | ||
--force | Force safety-gated operations where supported. | |||
--yes | Confirm forced compute:release-all --force. Other runtime commands do not read --yes. | |||
--debug | Print structured request debugging with secrets masked. | |||
--verbose | Print verbose progress for long-running operations. | |||
-h, --help | Show this help. |
Examples

flywheel nodes:render:tree --node_id n_abc --projection topologyRender at most 100 nodes in a core projection.
flywheel nodes:render:tree --node_id n_abc --projection core --max_nodes 100Output
Default format: json.

lane_count | integer |
max_depth | integer |
truncated | boolean |
nodes:render:summary
Summarize a node tree deterministically and for free, without a model: node titles and summaries as Markdown. Returns anchor_node_id, root_node_ids, node_count, latest_updated_at, markdown (one line per node; first summary line cut to 220 characters) and nodes (node_id, title, depth, full summary, artifact_count, execution_count, updated_at). Covers the same tree as nodes:render:tree, limited by --max_nodes. Of the five summary commands, nodes:render:summary and export:summary:render-pdf call no model and cost nothing; export:summary, export:summary:stream and export:summary:pdf call an outside language model and charge credits.
nodes:resolve-slug
Resolve a slug to a node ID.
