<owner_kind> | Yes | node, edge | Artifact owner kind. |
<owner_id> | Yes | Artifact owner UUID. | |
<artifact_id> | Yes | Artifact UUID. |
Required flags
| Flag | Value | Default | Choices | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
--repository-id | string | Hosted repository UUID. |
Optional flags
| Flag | Value | Default | Choices | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
--metadata-file | string | Artifact metadata JSON file containing exactly one of name, media_type, notes, or tags — see --schema. Mutually exclusive with the inline flags below. | ||
--name | string | Inline replacement artifact name; use alone, without the other metadata flags. | ||
--media-type | string | Inline replacement artifact media type; use alone, without the other metadata flags. | ||
--notes | string | Inline replacement artifact notes; use alone, without the other metadata flags. | ||
--tags | string | Inline replacement comma-separated artifact tags; use alone, without the other metadata flags. | ||
--message | string | Hosted commit message. | ||
--expected-head | string | Hosted head this write expects, as head from flywheel hosted:repository:head <repository_id>. When set, the automatic head read is skipped; if the head has moved, the write is refused with repository_head_mismatch: read the head again and retry. | ||
--format | FORMAT | json, tsv, csv, table | Output format for command results. | |
--env | PROFILE | Select a CLI profile; unconfigured default requires FLYWHEEL_BASE_URL. | ||
--out | PATH | Write output to a file path, or use - for stdout. | ||
--open | Open browser-bound URLs when supported. | |||
--no-retry | Disable transient-error retries. | |||
--retry-max | N | Maximum transient-error retry attempts. | ||
--wait | Block on async operations until a terminal state is reached. | |||
--wait-timeout | SECONDS | 600 | Seconds to wait for --wait before timing out. Defaults to 600. | |
--allow-self | Allow mutating the currently active credential. | |||
--timeout | SECONDS | Set the per-request timeout budget in seconds. | ||
--idempotency-key | KEY | Reuse an Idempotency-Key so ambiguous write failures can be retried with the same key. | ||
--force | Force safety-gated operations where supported. | |||
--yes | Confirm forced compute:release-all --force. Other runtime commands do not read --yes. | |||
--debug | Print structured request debugging with secrets masked. | |||
--verbose | Print verbose progress for long-running operations. | |||
-h, --help | Show this help. |
Examples
Replace the artifact's notes using an inline flag.
flywheel hosted:artifact:set-metadata --repository-id=<uuid> node <owner_id> <artifact_id> --notes revisedOutput
Default format: human.
| Field | Type |
|---|---|
commit_id | string |
head | string |
cursor | string |
receipt_sequence | integer |
artifact_id | string |
warnings (optional) | array<string> |
hosted:artifact:list
List a node's artifact records (type, title, `note`, `storage_url`, metadata). By default one page of up to --limit records (default 50, at most 200) from --offset (default 0), with `total` and `has_more`; read the next page by raising --offset by --limit. With --all it reads every page itself and prints `artifacts` and `node_revision`, as the MCP tool does, without `node_id`, `total`, `offset`, `limit` or `has_more`. It returns records, not file bytes.
hosted:artifact:set-note
Set or clear one artifact's note (markdown allowed). The new note replaces the old one, and an omitted or empty --note clears it. The node's revision is bumped when the note changes; setting the same text again can leave it as is. Needs the node's owner or an admin of it (a repository admin counts); an editor with only write access gets 403.
